Question Double-click in a viewport fails

I have a user that has problems when trying to double-click inside a viewport to switch to MS inside that viewport.

Double clicking works about 1 times out of 10. If you continuously double-click, it will eventually work, so it's not like its disabled or something... This happens in all drawings, even new empty ones. I have ensured that the latest mouse drivers are installed, and I have tried a completely different mouse and drivers.

Double-clicking in other applications works as expected, IOW this isn't an issue with the speed of the double-click, unless AutoCAD has it's own double-click speed setting.

    What am I missing? TIA

    A few guesses:

Perhaps there is a double click action defined in the CUI that is causing the trouble.

Is the SPACESWITCH variable set to 1?
Why draw straws? Just draw one straw and array it.

    1. What double-click action in the CUI would conflict with clicking in an open area in MS? Don't double-click actions only apply to entities?

    2. Set to 1. If it was set to 0, wouldn't it refuse to switch to MS period? It will eventually switch for this user, just rarely the first time.

    Thanks.

What's the double click speed set to in the mouse properties? Would that have something to do with it?
Why is it called common sense when it is so rare?

Oops, I missed that. I need to get my money back from that speed reading course.

When the user is in model space, and double clicks in paper space, does it do the same thing?
