INTERNAL ERROR: !dbobji.cpp@6769: eNotOpenForWrite

I am recieving this error whenever I try to open a particular drawing. The error occurs immediately and boots me out of AutoCAD. I've tried to recover the drawing which seems to open the drawining only to get the same message and the boot just as the command prompt would normally become available for user input.

The info from http://forums.augi.com/showthread.php?t=80716 did not help because I do not get a command prompt. Please help.

I've previously tried to insert my corrupt file into a new drawing without success and unforturnately I get the same error upon insertion. I've also tried to recover. All other suggestions per the link do not work because I can't get to the command prompt or they do not apply to the LDT 2008 version.

Since you have map, try attaching the corrupt drawing, and then query in parts of it, either spatially or by layer until you can recover parts of it, or until it crashes again.

For example, If it crashes when you query in a certain layer, that is a good indicator of where the corruption lies...

Don't forget the last link in that article - send the drawing to AutoCAD if nothing else - they are always looking for corrupt drawings to test...
