deleting user profiles

in the options menu of ADT 2004 you can setup separate profiles for operators that use the same computer. i tried to set these up without any success. the ones i did create don't have the correct settings and won't delete. is there another way to get these to delete? the reasoning for creating these profiles is that I've once had to reinstall ADT an forgot all the different things i changed. I'm trying to create a backup of these setting so that i don't have to go through that experience again.

As long as the profile you're attempting to delete is not the current (active) one, there shouldn't be any issue / problem....

Is a message displayed when you attempt to delete the profile (that won't delete)?
