Default wmf to gif image with transparent background

I I've created a wmf image from an AutoCAD object.

I want to change this image into a gif image with a transparent back ground for loading onto a form.

Does any one know of a cheap ( read free) or trial software that can do this?

I only have half a dozen items to convert.

    thanks in advance

    Wayne

Sure adobe has a free download that will do this.
Also I think a product called Image Alchemy

    will do what you require.

Paint Shop Pro is, IMHO, the greatest. However, I must warn you, you'll want to spend the money when the 60 trial expires. I use it daily because we put Appraisal District maps (tiff) and aerial photos (jpg) into our drawings. Here's a link to the trial on Tucows.
