Default Moving viewports causing slow response

My co-worker and I have noticed that with 2009 when you attempt to move a viewport and after you have picked your basepoint, AutoCAD slows to a crawl. Its like SuperSnap has been turned on! Can anyone tell me why this is and if there is something that can be done about it? .....it's very annoying.....Thanks

Try turning off the first viewport:
    hightlight viewport
    select properties
    Misc>ON =No

    the display will turn off

then copy the OFF viewport which should be quicker.

Turn on both viewports as above:
    Misc>ON =YES

This may take a while to regenerate but the copying process will be much quicker.

As a tip if you have files with many "large" viewports which opens really..... slowly.... try saving the file when some/all of the viewports have been turned off and then turn on as and when etc.

    Hope this helps

is your layer palette open? if so close it, slowness should go away.

    That was the issue!

I had mine parked as a flyout on the left of my screen. Why does it use up so much resources? Is this just a bug?

    Thanks
