Colour Schemes

Hi all,
We are producing a marketing plan for a housing development and I am having problems with the colour fills.
I have placed a room marker in the stair core and applied the relevant colour to it, the only issue is that it does not seem to colour the treads to the stair. It will colour the relevant level to which the room name is applied though.

Also, I have an overhead cupboard over my fridge void and the same condition occurs, no colour

Any ideas as to why this is happening and how I can change it as i need the entire area of the stair core coloured.

If you check the view properties, just above color scheme, you'll see a color scheme location parameter. Make sure it is set to foreground.
