    Default Trying to Update

I opened a drawing from a project we worked on a couple of months ago. I needed to alter a couple of lines in the Table. I made a change and one of the Rows went black and stayed that way. I Undid the changes and it went back to a clean Row. If I printed the file with the black Row it was solid black. The only way I could edit the Table was to Explode the Table and edit the various bits and pieces.
Does anyone have any idea why I have a Row going black making it necessary to Explode the Table?
    Thank you

What version of AutoCAD? How is the table set up? Is it data linked, data extraction, or just a manually table? Does it have fields?

Sorry to take so long getting. I use 2009 and it's just a Table. There is no extraction or Field activity involved.
