Default Revit MEP 2009 and Point Clouds?

Can Revit MEP 2009 open and interact with Point Clouds generated by a 3D survey scan, or is it not quite there yet?

It can use a set of DEM points. Quite common in the survey biz. I'm not sure if this is the sort of data format you are refering.

I am not in the Survey biz at all, but I know that the company we're working with has a 3D scanner that can Survey a building and then that either spits out a Point Cloud, or they can model it for us and give us the model.

Getting the Point Cloud from them would be cheaper and allow us to model it our own way, but I do not think Revit is Capable of opening up a point cloud just yet.

I've imported Point Clouds that were converted into autocad first. They had to be small because the amount of points slowed down view changes.
