Default Annotation in Elevation Views of Linked Files - RAC2008

Is it possible to see tags and annotations in Elevation views of a linked file? We had previously tagged these elevation views in our Existing file, but now want to show these elevations in our Interiors file with the tags and annotations. I've tried to go into Visibility Graphics and change the Revit Link setting to By Linked View but it's greyed out. Any ideas? We are using RAC2008.

    Thanks,
    Jim

In those elevation views that the linked existing file is in, did you first change the V/G of the Revit link to Custom, then try to set the specific view? In your elevation view of the file the link is in, you may have to set the phasing to Previous plus new, or All, to get the information to show up. Also, is the Revit link on a workset that is off in the elevational view?

    Hi Scott,

We're looking into the settings you suggested now. I'll post what we find.

    Thanks,
    Jim

Could this be because I'm working in RAC2008? The "By Linked View" selection is greyed out which means I can't choose an elevation view in a linked model.

That is correct. Plans work, but I believe sections and elevations capabilities were only added in the 2009 product. Maybe its time to upgrade, since 2010 will be in all likelyhood ship in April?
