    Default Project Positioning

I have a project that has a Revit structural linked into it.

I set it up with Shared Coordinates but they do not match 100%.

What I learned was that either the Architect or the Structural guy. I am thinking the structural guy since he told me without actually saying he did it, moved his model.

Now the two models don't match at all. They are off by 4 inches or so in the Z direction.

I am looking at Project Positioning (thinking that this might help me)

I can't find any documentation on the subject and was wondering what this tool is used for...

Next question will be... would it just be as simple as moving the Structural model back into location to fix this issue?

    Thanks

What were you acquiring your coords from? Im guessing an acad file. Did the str eng used the same file? Did he got them from your model?

    I published from Revit Arch

    I acquired from Revit Stru.

Both Revit files told me that the files have already been synced.

Because I synced them at the start of the project.

Now here is the kicker. I have no clue to why the two file don't match because they did match when I first shared coordinates.

I have no clue to why the stru guy moved his model or for what reasons. He does not want to admit his mistake and I can't prove a thing, my task is to fix it.

Can you tell me what Project Positioning is used for and will this tool help me?

I am about to just move the Stru model back into place and call it done but I am afraid of the ripple effect down the line on let’s say print day when everything under the sun can and does go wrong.

    Thanks for your help
