Pan Joist Problem

I need to make a variable with Pan Joist Beam. I have a pan joist system on a radius of a building. The Pan Joist are parallel to an interior beam. The main beam between columns need to be a certain width at the interior column and wider at the outer column. I have found no way to do this. Any suggestions. I have tried to modify the Pan Joist family, but it appears that you can not do a blend in a beam type. Any help is appreciated. I can send the model th anyone who would like to see the issue.

I'm not sure, but wouldn't it be easier to model the slab at it's total thickness, say 16".
Then model the pans as what they really are - Voids. Space the voids just as you do pans. What is left will be your beams and joists. And they can taper.
