Default The Ability to Create a slab Edge on a Sloping Slab

Currently in Revit (I have confirmed this with our local reseller) you are unable to place a slab edge on a slab that is sloping.

I am working on a project at the moment that requires slab edges or thickenings. I am able to place an edge on the line perpendicular to the slope, but not the line that is sloping.

    Any thoughts?

We have a family to suit an edge thickening, as the standard edge thickening tool just puts in a turndown at the slab edge, where an edge thickening needs to taper back up to the main slab. I would suggest getting hold of, or writing a family with variable that suits your needs. Then you just place it as though placing a footing, embed it 50mm UP into the main slab, and join elements. Should solve your problem.

    Thanks,

I have a number of "work-arounds" but thought it would be far easier if Autodesk incorporated this into future releases.....

Another workaround is to add the slab edge before sloping the slab. Yes, first add it to the slab while it is still flat then edit the slab and add your slope arrow and finish it. The slab edge should slope as well.

Andre! Thanks man, that was clutch! I agree this should be incorporated without having to do this, but it's better than making another family.
