    Wow,
I edited my first post as i pulled a stupid one by assigning f1 as a hot key without thinking, but seems as the edit did not take. While i'm on line i search to see if macros could be set up.I would like to use the ecilpse and set the text tool to assign a number or letter.I dislike going through all the clashes and deleting the duplicates.I'd rather use the clash portion with non objects dimmed and marking several clashes in a general area with a circle and would like to step to the text tool.

I'm not trying to be mean. Is English your mother language? Are you having trouble translating, or is this a simple typo? Do you mean "ellipse"?

It sounds like you know how to get to the Customize Keyboard dialog (right-click in toolbar area, select Customize..., select Keyboard button), so what is happening when you try to make the assignment?

I told you, I not trying to be mean. There are plenty of people here that do not speak English as their mother tongue and therefore might not know the words to express themselves. All that I was gently asking of you was to further clarify your post.

We are all here helping each other between real work, so the less confusion in a post the better off everyone is.

And as you can see from the latter part of my post, I'm still trying to help you, regardless of the confusing posts.

Isn't it native tongue.Never heard it put that way before.Anyhow i explained that i reluctantly set the shortcut key to F1 which was popping the help dialog.Since we have now introduced ourselves ,i was looking into creating a macro to accomplish what i stated in one of the previous post...I've search the help and did not find anything.

Please exactly list the steps you are taking. For what it's worth, I've found that some keys cannot be redefined even though they are on the list, e.g. Ctrl+1 cannot be redefined.

You want a macro that starts the Ellipse tool, waits for user input to complete the Ellipse, and then starts the Text tool.

There is an API but I've never had time to look at it so I don't know if it is possible with the current API. There is no simple macro recorder/playback mechanism.
