Default Lost Ribbon and Controls in LT

We are running AutoCAD 2009 LT with no add ons.

I accidentally unloaded the acadlt.cui and contentsearch.cui yesterday making the ribbon go away. The keyboard commands went away as well.

I was able to reload them through cuiload, but the ribbon says at the top... "There are no panels or tabs currently on the ribbon". When I right click on the ribbon, nothing changes when trying to select "panels" or "tabs". Note that the ribbon IS on.

The acadlt.cui and contentsearch.cui UNLOADS itself upon closing AutoCAD

Anybody know what the heck I did ? And how do I fix it ?

Are you sure that you unloaded the menu? It's not uncommon for AutoCAD to crash or have some sort of hiccup which ultimately corrupts the CUI file.

Compare the file size with the virgin copy located in the C:\Program Files\AutoCAD...\UserDataCache\Support directory and/or see this http://usa.autodesk.com/getdoc/id=TS1059057

Could see if reloading the workspace will bring them back. Works sometimes for me during hiccups.

Thank you very much for all of your suggestions....

So what I was thinking was I knew the custom cui was staying loaded and that I might try unloading the custom cui completely, and then loading the acadlt.cui

It turns out that the custom CUI that I loaded was prevailing over the acadlt.cui and keeping it from staying loaded and apparently, I am guessing, being the main cui.

Basically I had accidently unloaded the acadlt.cui while loading a custom one at the same time. As I went back in and loaded the acadlt.cui, the (partial) custom cui was loaded first and for some reason keeping the acadlt.cui from prevailing.

So as I unloaded the custom and reloaded the acadlt.cui, it became the main cui. Everything came back including keycommands and stayed after closing and relaunching AutoCAD. Thanks again for your suggestions.

    Just an FYI....

If CUSTOM.CUI was the main CUI and ACADLT.CUI was loaded as a partial, you could create a workspace in CUSTOM.CUI that contains menus, etc. from ACADLT.CUI. It's a bit more work and I'm not suggesting it, but it's possible.
