    Default tx2mtx within limits

Does anyone know of a way to apply a command to objects within a certain x,y from one another?

So if I have objects (text items) that are the distance of one inch apart in a selection set it would apply a command to them...

Like grouping to text items to into one mtext item?

I feel this could be useful to apply to other ideas as well...

There is a lisp routine floating around out there that can join text into mtext within a specified distance. I belive it is over at the swamp.org in the morning I'll take a look at my routines and see if I can find the original author and post a link.
