When I use the mouse exclusively, no problem.
When I use any keystroke, Autocad waits for one minute before responding. This includes keyboard shortcuts, ("C" for circle, for example), the Enter key to close out a selection set or finish a command, and the right click on the mouse.
Typical command procedure:
Click "move" icon on toolbar - immediate response
Click an entity on the screen - immediate response
Click two locations to surround entities - immediate response
Hit "Enter" - Freeze - One minute.
Click starting position - immediate response
Attempt to enter relative coordinates:
Hit "@" - Freeze - One minute
Hit "2" - Freeze - One minute
Hit "." - Freeze - One minute
Hit "0" - Freeze - One minute
Hit "3" - Freeze - One minute
Hit "<" - Freeze - One minute
Hit "0" - Freeze - One minute
Hit Enter to finish command - Freeze - One minute.
Drawing size has no bearing on this.
As you can see, this is very frustrating. When I left work Friday and shut down my machine, everything was fine. When I booted up Saturday, the above happened. The only change from Friday to Saturday was that two gurus from corporate came in to tweak the network. They claim they did nothing that would affect this, but nothing else happened. Also, noone else here at work is having this problem.
Any ideas?
