    Exclamation Pipe Sizes

Anyone had trouble with revit not showing any pipe sizes smaller than 1" when trying to draw pipe?

Yes i already checked the pipe sizes that should be shown in mechanical settings and both 1/2" and 3/4" are checked and neither show up.

I tried to change styles and still no luck.

    A bug or?

Weird, I've never seen that problem before, I use 3/4" pipe all the time with no problems. It's not a filter thing is it?

I also have not had that problem. I use 1/2" and 3/4" on almost every job with no problems. Could those pipes be out of your view range?

No its not a view issue.

They are not even an option to select to model.

what workset was the pipe modeled in and is that certain workset turned off by chance? Can you see the pipe is a 3d view and it only wont show in the plan view?

I think he's saying that the pipe sizes less than 1" don't appear as an option in the pull-down menu when he's creating new pipe, even though they're checked in the mechanical settings.

Yeah this was exactly the problem. And i found the solution. Units were set to pipe to the nearest inch. Strange it affected the drop down menu as well. I also couldnt override pipe sizes in a properties box down to less than 1" - like if i typed in .5" it would turn into 5"

    This could be a problem.

I have also ran into that problem and came up with the same solution as you. I don't think it is a problem, as if your precision is not high enough then what good is putting in 1/2" pipe if you only want to be accurate to 1".

What I did was just change that setting in all of the templates and I have not had a problem since. But I do understand your frustration searching through and finding that in the last place you looked, because I did the exact same thing.

Settings>Project Units>Plumbing(in the pull down)>Pipe size(change the tolerance to 1/4" or whatever you like).

I'm actually looking for libraries with standard home plumbing PVC pipe fittings. Can anybody throw me a bone here?
