    Unhappy Extremely slow saving

Since we use Revit 2009 together with Windows Server 2003, saving is extremely slow. Three minutes for a 30 MB file is "normal" resulting in severe caffeine intoxication.

I know saving locally can relieve some pain but this is not really a good option.

    Please help me out?

Do you have a gigabit network?

We have a 100 Mb network that worked fine before we moved from Linux Redhead to Windows Server 2003. Regular transfer speed and saving big files in all our other programs (Photoshop, Indesign, etc.) is still fine. We only have problems with saving in Revit.

I'm not really sure if all that you changed is the server.

We have Windows Server and it works fine for us.

Is Windows server doing DHCP or do you have a router handling it? If there are both running a DHCP server it may create problems.

You could try static IP addresses on each machine?

Did you have an IT consultant install Windows Sevrer for you? They should probably be your first port of call, or contact Autodesk support through subscription centre

    Thanks for your suggestions, Andrew!

    I'll do some further investigation.
