Default find out material type used

How do you find out what material type has been used on a feature, part, surface etc. Using Navisworks Simulate 2013. I have no problems applying materials but at certain times want to know the presenter material type used when selecting an object. Thanks in advance.

Open your properties window, select the item, then look at the various tabs that come up in the properties window... At least I think that's what you're trying to see.

Once you figure out just what you're looking for on a regular basis, you can make a quick property of it so that when you hover over the object with your mouse, a small box will pop up showing you those attributes.
Give a man AutoCad, and he'll draw you a floor plan.
Give a man Revit and he'll build you a house.
Give Cadmama a couple of drinks and she'll have everyone singing Rockytop!
