    Default Pipe Elbow Size

I am having an issue with a pipe elbow. It is "Pipe Bend - DWV - Glued". I am working on this project with multiple people. When someone else draws pipe it creates this bend and its smaller radius that the one it creates when I draw pipe. It also changes whenever I edit pipe they have drawn. When I go to properties the pipes both say 5/8" Nominal Radius. Our lookup tables are the same and I tried swapping out my Revit INI file with one of theirs.

Is there anything else it could be?

Your pipe fitting is the correct one, and the others are not?

When I draw pipe the elbow fitting size is not correct. When others draw pipe their elbow fitting size is correct. When I edit a pipe that they have drawn, it changes the fittings to be the wrong size as well.

Are there differences between what you and the other users have specified for the default fittings?

I am not sure. How would I find that out? I thought all that information came from the project.

In your project browser, under "Families," scroll down to pipe types.

Find the pipe type that is giving you the problems, right-click on it, and choose "Properties."

You will be able to see/change all of the default fittings in that dialog box. It sounds like you might have a different elbow or bend specified than the rest of your team.

That didn't seem to help. I believe those properties are part of the project. If that is true then I wouldn't be getting the wrong size radius. I think it might have something to do with the lookup table. How does revit determine where it sees the lookup tables? I'm thinking the others may be pointing to them out on the network somewhere and Im pointing at my C: drive.

The path to the lookup table resides in the .ini file

Look here (or wherever you installed Revit):

    C:\Program Files\Revit MEP 2009\Program

Open the Revit.ini file in notepad and verify that the path to the lookup tables is correct.

Got it to work. I had to reload the families in to the project. Thanks for your help!

    Unhappy Re: Pipe Elbow Size

    How do you fix it?
I've got a similar problem and I can't solve it, it seems to be a graphics problem, if I copy a right size Tee from an original RevitMEP Training file and paste in my file, both have diferent sizes, even if I match properties, I've notice that both are equal at properties but apear diferent on screen. It doesen´t matters wich template I use. always have the same problem. Can anybody help me please?
