    Default Point vertical offset list

I would like to compare several hundred topo points to an existing surface and get a report or list, for each topo point, of the vertical difference or offset from the surface. Is there a way to do this? Thanks.

Create a new surface from your topo points. Create a stratum of the two surfaces. From the Grading menu pick Modify Point Elevation > Modify By Selection (or Range). This will give you an option to use the difference in elevation between the two surfaces defined in the stratum. You will be able to modify the existing points or create new ones. You make want to make some changes to your points setting like current number, auto number, auto desc, etc. before creating new points.
