When I xref dwgA into any other drawing the blocks (devices in this case) in dwgA appear to scale to about 1/2 their original size. Any body know how to fix that?

Check the units for each drawing. If they are different AutoCAD will automatically scale the x-ref to match the drawing.

I explode MTEXT.
I found it... Just couldn't remember where it was. For those who are looking it is on the Units tab of the Drawing Setup dialog box. It is the check box Scale Objects Inserted from Other Drawings
Out of curiosity - which combination of units settings gives a ratio of 1:2 ?

Maybe it's meant to be 1/12..a typo?
Not a typo... they look about half as big in the xref as they do in the actual drawing... and it is only the blocks and I thought I had fixed it and it's back!!! Tried the same thing this morning, it won't go away. What happened to blocks being defined as unitless so that when you bring them into a drawing you can decide what size they are. I think it is in the style of the devices, but I am not sure how to fix that. What confounds me more is that it worked yesterday. Any ideas would be appreciated and tried repeatedly.
Well sounds like jaberwok's closest, OP does mention "about 1/2".
BTW, from the 3rd post it appears that cparvez is running in a Vertical of AC. Can't find "Drawing Setup" in vanilla AC ... maybe I'm missing something / misunderstanding? Anyway, in Vanilla. Only place I can find anything similar is the undocumented -DWGUNITS command ... can't remember what sysvar it's changing.
I usually just follow the solutions in this thread: http://forums.augi.com/showthread.php?p=310336
But rereading the OP, it sounds as if some "nested" blocks in dwgA are scaling by 1/2. If that's the case, maybe it's something to do with Annotative Scaling. But this may be something different?![]()

I will check. Thanks for the advice. We are working in Autodesk MEP.
