Dims text changes colour

OK. people, How are we all today??

Here's the conundrum. I have associated dims that, if I add text to the end (eg. 1000%%P VIF) the added text (%%P VIF) changes colour to that of the current layer.

So if my dim is on layer dims set to colour by-layer and the layer is pen 7 the 1000 comes out black, but if I'm currently on layer profile and it's colour is set to 4 the added text looks cyan in the text editor. everything looks fine if I'm not in the text editor, but once I go back into the editor the text "funks out" again.

ANYONE know why?

I believe this is just a quirk (so to speak) of the in-line text editor and the way it displays / handles Dim Text Object that have their Colour set Bylayer.... when you exit the in-line text editor the Dim Text Object still displays correctly (correct Colour, it hasn't changed)?

By quirk I mean -

Dim Text Object has Colour set Bylayer

Dim Layer in Layer Dialog Box has Colour set to 1 (Red) -> Set this Layer current

Open the Dimstyle Dialog Box, the preview window shows the Dim Text Object = 1 (Red)

Now set current another Layer that has a different Colour (say 3 Green)

Open the Dimstyle Dialog Box, the preview window shows the Dim Text Object = 3 (Green)
