However, I am ripping my hair out right now! For some reason the lisp is no longer writing to the Excel doc!?!?! ughh...

I even went back and started fresh by copying Opie's code and now it won't work at all. It's a complete mystery to me!
Is the file open in excel or did you save from excel?

I have a logging program that I write out tab delimited lines to a .xls file. It's just a text file with that extension so I can open it in excel and sort it when I'm ready to do my timesheet. If I save the file, Autocad can't write to it anymore because the formatting has changed.

I just tried that and it still isn't writing to the csv file....?

So weird, it was working and then suddenly nothing. I undid all of my changes and went back to the beginning and still nothing. I think the code is correct, it has to be a excel issue.....maybe?

Is it a permission problem? Are all of the users that are to write to it allowed by file or group permsissions?

No, I have kept all local right now as I have been testing. (All on my machine, I have yet to roll it out to the staff.)

When someone has a chance could you give it a try on your computer and see if it works?

I have tried everything and have lost all hope that this will work again. I have no idea why it worked initially only to stop now. Especially since I have completely scrubbed everything down twice and cannot find a problem!

Can you post your current code?

    Question Re: Custom Lisp Tracker

Ok, I just tried it. It seems to work fine. However, if the file is not already there, it will not create it. When you are testing it, do you already have the file there

    Yes.

I've tried creating the file straight from Excel, renaming a txt file, xls file, etc....
(How did you create the cvs file?)

Can't seem to get it to write to that file?......Any ideas?

    Thanks!

Create a blank text file. If you want, I can add the option to create the file if it does not exist.
