For the life of me, the analytical lines for the system family Wall Foundation (Footing) will not show up in 3D. They are turned on in V/G under Structural Foundation -> Analytical lines. Object Styles are setup to be a ridiculous huge red solid line; there are no overrides in the V/G. The wall is set to Shear. The footing is set to be analyzed as Foundation. The view is set to Wire Frame. The View Discipline is set to Structural.
I'm about to go postal... any suggestions (about how to get the line to show, not the postal part)? Here's the kicker: on an isolated pad footing, the analytical dot is red and shows up fine... but in the same view the Wall Foundation doesn't show squat. |

The only way I can replicate what you are explaining is by setting the wall to non-bearing, but even then I need to change the exent of the footing before the analytical line disappears.
Is there anything funky happening with the wall? edited profile or multiple layers? |

Do you need it?
Can't you apply your condition to the wall directly or are you adding loads directly to the line? What package are you trying to take it across to? |

If I use the OOTB Structural Default template, the foundation lines show perfectly. I don't know what I could have changed... any more suggestions? |

Update: If I create a project with NO template. Just straight plain Imperial nothing... the Analytical lines do not show up for wall foundations! When you turn them on in the V/G, they don't show! What the...
I believe this might be an Autodesk issue and I'll be contacting them. Thanks, AUGI. =) |

Just an update:
Contacted AutoDesk, they could produce the same issue. They say that it will be fixed in the Revit 2011 release. They have confirmed that if a 2010 template is upgraded to 2011, the issue will be corrected in the file. Last edited by Rodan2000 : 2010-02-18 at 08:27 PM. |
