    Default Stair landing problem

    Hi all,
I have a short 7 riser stair connecting two levels, with a 6 foot landing that connects to the slab below. There are no risers below the landing.
The stringers are dog-legged and should extend the entire length of the landing. That's the problem. I cannot get the lower landing to work.
Presently I just have a slab at the lower level. I would like to get the stringers to work right. Attached is an image of the problem.
It does not seem that I can produce the landing with no risers below it.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Tom Weir

I am not sure if this will help, but I have a similar issue with loading dock stairs. I basically just create the landing as a floor slab, I then do a host sweep - floor slab edge with a profile that matches the stringer.

I was hoping I would not have to do that. But of course that option might be my only way.
It seems like I should be able to extend the border somehow but I cannot get it to work.

    Thanks.

    Tom

I'm probably missing something but are you trying to do this? Sorry meant this...new image next to the original.

That looks great Steve... but I don't see those option in my stair type... I'm using Revit 8.1 (don't know but don't think we've got the recent updates)

I'm pretty sure those options have always been there, at least since I started in 6.1.

My vote would also be to uncheck the Begin With Riser parameter.

Steve, how do you create the landing? did you just extend the last stair tread in the sketch mode?
