    Default Tips for Express Tools "Flatten Objects"

    Does anybody have any tips or info on this. It actually takes days for me to "flatten" a drawing. I even get a white screen that seems like it is working but nothing shows and my computer slows down.

    Thanks

    Hi

    Have a browse of the following threads (especially take note of any links within) -

    z axis problem

    Z elev.

    If it's a large drawing (lots of Objects), maybe try using the Flatten command on smaller selection sets. Flatten has to do quite a bit of computation (number crunching) therefore breaking the drawing down into smaller selection sets might help.

    Have a good one, Mike

    I have used this as a buttom macro... It was posted on the newsgroup a while back.

    ^C^C_select;all;;move;p;;0,0,1e99;;move;p;;0,0,-1e99;;

    We use this only for 2D objects.

    Hope this might be of use....
