    Unhappy Roof Issues

Please look at the image, I can post the file but I don't know the limit on file size for the forum. I have a lower roof that is all one piece and a upper roof that is all one piece. The roof join won't work and I need to get rid of the extra lines. What else can I do?

Just cut the upper roof with a hole. Then the two roof can be joined. (Actually join willl alone if all the planes line up correctly...)

How do I cut a hole in a roof? I'm sorry but I don't seem in the help or tutorials on how to do this...

You'll find the Opening tool in the Modeling tools. Go to a roof plan and draw a closed shape to make a hole. do those two roofs sharethe same plane?

Same Plane? Do you mean Same Level, no - they all share the same rise/run.

No - the right elevation. If you extend the upper roof does it align with the lower?

From what I can tell yes. Thanks for showing me the Opening Tool, this will help a lot for doing roofs.

Aaron after looking around at the model the planes aren't aligned after all. Need to go back into the model and adjust. Thanks for your help, Jarod
