    Default Duct Support for Ducts

    Hi Guys

    I am working on Revit MEP 2010 for workshop drawings

    I need from you how we can put the duct support as a workshop drawings

    You are going to have to create the modeled family and start placing them.

    Good point. What is the purpose of MEP creating a 3D coordinated model if you (contractors) are going to model it again for shop drawings.
    If MEP is not showing the Duct supports, pipe supports, correct fittings, etc. than how coordinated are these models.

    Is this because maybe one day MEP firms are going to be responsible for the shop drawings. Any extra work on our end to make the contractor more money.

    I can't wait for the day Revit implements gravity.

    Good statement. At my company we engineer about 20% of our work, but first and foremost we are a mechanical contractor. That is why we love it when engineering firms give us their CAD / Revit files (even if the Revit file is exported to CAD) so we can just go off their drawings initially, and make the necessary changes no matter how small or big if they need to be made. Makes life easier on both ends.
