Default Changing the Color of the Display Paper Background!?

I need help with changing the color of the Display Paper Background. I am using the AutoCAD 2014. Under the Options/Display/Layout Elements/ Display Paper Background can be turn on or off. How can I change the color in PS?

Strange. That didn't work in the past.
[Yes, I checked that it works now.]

It's always worked for me. If I recall correctly, 2008 had the paperspace background set to some nauseating yellowish-ivory color as the default and I changed it back then, so the option has been around since at least then.
(BTW, above example is from 2011)

OK, I thought the OP was talking about the background around the layout, the gray surrounding the edge of the paper

Under the Options/Display/Colors… Sheet/layout you can change Uniform background. Unrelated to the Paper Background Display WJM_Jr asked about I believe.

Uniform background controls both the color of the layout background AND the paper background. If the paper background is checked to display and the OP is referring to the background behind it, then yes there is no control for that.

Didn't cross my mind to think of the background behind the background

maybe WJM will chime in and clarify if he hasn't been scared off...
