For some reason the dialogue box doesn't open when I try to open a file, I have to retrieve the file from the prompt line. Is there a system variable that controls this?
Thanks

???
FILEDIA
0 = command line
1 = dialog box
What type of file are you trying to open? Drawing file? Lisp file?Originally Posted by johannvonspiralspine
If you are attempting to open a Drawing file, but the open dialog box does not open, try typing a tilde ( ~ ) at the command prompt. Or you could change your system variable FILEDIA to 1.

Please note I have *moved* this thread from the AutoLISP Forum to this one as I feel this particular Forum is a more appropriate place for such a topic.
