Question Pin List issues

Good Day

My pin List has a gremlin in it. When a place a relay coil & the contact of the relay on the same page the pin list links correctly. As soon as i place the contact on a different sheet as the relay coil the name of the relay links correctly but the pin list does not link. Is there anyone that might know what the problem might be.

Pin list: When you add the contact on a different sheet, does the pins show up in the “Insert/Edit Child Component” dialog box?

No it does not. When the contact is on a different page that the coil the pins does not show in the "Insert/Edit Child Component" dialog box. I use the Project button in the "Insert/Edit Child Component" dialog box to get the information when the coil is on a different page as the contact. The name on the coil is linked correctly but the pin list does not display

So, the pins do not show up in the “Insert/Edit Child Component” dialog box after you have linked the child contact to the parent coil?
Under the Pins, select List button. Does any information appear in the “Pin Numbers in Use” dialog box under the NC pairs or NO pairs?

The information is also not listed under the list button in the "Insert/Edit Child Component". It also does not show anything under the "Pin Number in Use" section. The only thing that is linked or displayed/linked is the description on the coil

If you add pins, do they show up? If you add the same child component using that parent coil on the same sheet, do the pins show up? I am thinking that the coil part number that you choice is not in the pin list database.

Yes when i add the pin manually they appear on the sheet. The pins list correctly if the coil and the contact are on the same sheet. But as soon as the coil and contact is not located on the same sheet the pin list does not link, The name of the coil is linked but the pin list does not. i have played around with the coil numbers but it seems to have no effect on the pin list linking the coil to the contact

That is a stumper! I cannot see why this would happen. You might have to pull out the big guns and ask Autodesk. Here is the website that they, Autodesk employees, answer. http://discussion.autodesk.com/forum...spa?forumID=38 (Autodesk Discussion Group)
