Default Autocad 2010 Lt ATTEXT issue

Hey All!

So I'm having issues with extracting data from a block with attributes. I have created a template file and I'm not sure if I have it correct or not. If someone out there could let me know how to do this correctly and easily it would be much appreciated!!!!!

I have tried using the help file and this is what I came up with... all I want is how many doors/windows are in the drawing...

BL:NAME C008000 (Block name, 8 characters)

that's the format that I have been using. All I seem to get is an error that reads...

"** Invalid field specification:
BL:NAME C020000 (BLOCK NAME, 8 CHARACTERS)"

thanks in advance!!!

chris

Default Re: Autocad 2010 Lt ATTEXT issue

Have you tried:

BL:NAME C008000

P.S. 8 characters is probably not enough.
