This is sample I used at last years AU to show some techniques for moving from the default 'accurender' look, to something more rich.

Very nice ~ Where did the Concrete Finish & Grass textures come from?
And This Year's AU???
Frame,
Would you mind posting the lecture notes here for everyone to share ?

it would be really nice and usable to know how you do it.
especially for the grass that seems to be 3D.
Frame might have used "Ground cover" in Accurender's Landscape features, which in itself is very 3d...but only Frame can say!!!!
Actually, I think he used Chris Zoog's grass solution....but I don't remember how it was done. Zoog, can you post your grass again?
wasn't mine. I think it was "heath's grass" from the ar3 newsgroup, it's baically a accurender plant that is coppied around a ton of times. If i remember correctly, render times go through the roofOriginally Posted by Scott Davis

Oops, sorry....sometimes it's hard to remember where you get your grass from......

The grass is made by using a family with a procedural plant applied to it. Then you can set your "Site-Grass" material to whatever you want and place the family in the model--but don't go nuts placing these, as it will slow down render times.
