Lightbulb missing pen settings - plotting

    One of the computers in the office is having problems with the pen settings. We have already loaded all the pen settings on ADT 2005 (enu) and at the c: drive, and it still can't not plot with any pen settings. Any suggestions? At the plot dialog box, plot style table (pen assignments) has no options at all. It is not even showing the basic pen settings that AutoCAD has: w&b, monochrome, ........;

This computer is running on Windows 2000, not XP, is this affecting?
    Please help.

    Thanks

    Ana

Just a thought, Are your penstyles located in the same folder on your 2000 machine as they are in XP because if I'm not mistaken they're located in a different location on a 2000 machine than on an XP one.

    Two things come to mind:
    1. I agree with Arcadia, make sure that in your profile, your plotter is looking in the correct directory.
    2. The thing I run into most of the time is if your drawing is setup to plot by Color and the drawing was created to plot by Style, it could cause an issue. Solution for this is at the command prompt, type in 'convertpstyles'. That will change from .stb to .ctb.

    Hope this helps...

So does your PlotStyleTables Selection box look like the following?

Chances are that AutoCAD is pointing to the wrong folder. Download the attached lisp file and drag it onto your AutoCAD window. When you run the attached routine does it result in an empty folder like this graphic?

Take a look in the folder that pops up. If it is empty like the second screen shot above then you have found your problem. Just visit your options dialog box and browse to the correct folder.

    Hope that helps,

    Thanks for the reply.

I run the routine. And it was already a ctb file.

But when I went to the options dialog box, under plot and publish tab, plot and style table settings, and try to add or edit the plot styles tables - I got the following message: does not exit or is not in a folder.

Where should I control the path for the plot settings on these machine, and which path, should I direct to the one above ........application data, autodesk, enu, plot styles?

    Thanks

    Ana
