Default Using floors for sidewalks - object styles, etc.

I like to define different floor types for making sidewalks, drives and parking areas, etc. on my site plan. I'm wondering if there's anything else I could use, or otherwise some way to allow me to set object styles differently vs. the floors of the actual building. For example, I want to make the boundaries of the site elements bolder on the site plan, so it stands out amidst the contour lines, etc, so I might set the line weight of floors in projection to be 8. But I don't want my building floor slab to show that way on my floor plans.

The main reason I do the site elements as floors is because I have a profile for a curb and gutter set up that I can apply as a slab edge, so it makes it really really easy create curbs around all the curved and straight portions of all my sidewalks, driveways, etc.

Probably not the answer you are looking for but... Instead of using floors I use inplace site families and then set up subcategories for sidewalk, curb and gutter etc. then just use the same curb profiles but sweep them around your mass extrustions. This lets you turn off all the site info easier too.

Yeah but I like just being able to do a slab edge sweep to create the gutters. I only have to select the edges of the floor (sidewalk or whatever) and boom the curb and gutter is there. I don't have to draw any sweep paths or anything.

Hmm I supposed I could just use linework on the site plan view, it would take awhile though....

You would use pick lines for the path in my way too. But I know what your are saying. Lets keep hoping for a sidewalk, road and gutter tool.

Have you a solution to do this when the floor is sloped with a circular boundary ?
    I never can do it.
