Default Import Page Setup while Publishing

    Hi all,

I start the PUBLISH command and then I add the drawings I want to the list. I select the "Plotter named in page setup" option and then I highlight all the drawing in my list, I open the pull down menu under "page setup/3d dwf", select import..., select a dwg file in order to import its page setup information and use it for all the drawings from my publish list that I highlighted and... nothing happens! the page setup info remains the same and nothing is imported. I remember very well that in previous releases of AutoCAD, you could do that and import different page setup information.

Is there something I am doing wrong? How can this be fixed? Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks

Is the drawing in model space or layout space.
When you publish did you pick the right tab to match your drawing?

The actual drawing is in model space and the viewport is in paper space as you would expect (if I understood correctly what you asked). As for the right tab to match my drawing, there is only one tab in the drawing I am using as a page setup import. So no need to choose any tab really. And the drawing I am trying to publish has one tab and same paper size as the "template" one.

    Thanks

So then when you publish you have the box checked for model space!

I'm not sure then what is going on?

    Hy,

Thought I read something about that, try to change the page setup by pressing also the Ctrl or Shift. (If I'm understanding you're question good )

No I dont have the model space box checked because I only want to publish the paper space. And anyway, the page setup info affects only paper space not model space.

I can give it a try anyway. I have to admit I would be surprised if it worked. It didn't use to be like that in previous releases.

    Thanks,

Just tried it and nope it doesn't work (if I tried the right thing that is). But thanks for the try anyway.

    Hy,

Tried it here from scratch in ADT2006.

    Drawing model + 2 layouts
    Start the PUBLISH commando.
Now I see the model drawing and the 2 layouts, here is my first question,
I start the PUBLISH command and then I add the drawings I want to the list
? In my window I have to delete the layouts I don’t want.
At the model or a layout I select the PAGE SETUP and Import a Drawing
I select all the Layouts that needs to have this page setup and then I select them.
Only in the model drawing it’s not possible to setup the page to the imported drawing

I have tried lots of combinations but nothing works. This is what I have (see attached jpg) and I have just imported a page setup. It doesn't show anywhere and also it doesn't change the existing setups.

Please note I am using full blown AutoCAD 2007.
