Exclamation AutoCAD Electrical default database location

We have migrated from ACE 2006 to ACE 2007. When we migrated to 2007, the program is still looking to the old database location . Where do I go to set this variable, and can I place the Database files on the network so all my designers are working from the same one and I have a single point of control ?

Default RE: AutoCAD Electrical default database location

I need help getting started, and since you're the only one here, and i can't answer your question maybe you can help me?

I need to what parameters I have to configure my drawings to have the same ladder widths in consecutive drawings.

Thank you in advance

Sorry for my absence in December.
Hopefully at work this week I can look into both of your questions.

This is located in your project and drawing properties if they are not consisted from drawing to drawing in the same project. To check this, go to one of the drawing in question and right click, this will open up and near the bottom select Settings Compare.

Look under Project properties to see where the project is pulling the database from. To check this, right click on the project name, this will open up and select near the bottom This will take up to a dialog box, Current Settings. You are looking for two databases:
  1. Active catalog loopup:
  2. Panel footprint lookup mdb file:
Notice the path. You will have to make the change under Settings...

Yes

Hope this helps for now and will try to add some jpeg this week. Need to have access at work to the program.

There is an ATP class starting tomorrow is you both would like to Join, ATP172.
Also, I am curious as to what Electrical classes to teach in the future if anyone has any suggestions. Thanks!

Here are some pictures of where to change your path in a project for database.
The files that come with ACE under the folder ACADE Libs, if you move those to your network and then point project to those files.
Remember to add some paths to the Options support paths.

Here are some pictures that I hope will help.
Don't forget that this needs to be changed in the project and the drawings. Once this is set, when you copy the project, it will retain the information.
Also, think about setting up templates for future projects that all these settings are set to your company standards.
