Default ACE 2006 - Right click no longer pops up different menu

Used to be that when I right clicked over a selected component I got one shortcut menu with align, attributes, copy components, etc and when I right clicked away from the selected component I would get a different shortcut menu with Move, Copy with base point, etc. As of yesterday when I right click with a component selected I get the first menu no matter where I click. I have not seen any similar problems posted and I have not been able to get it back. Anyone have any ideas? (Acad electrical 2006, no changes from before that I am aware of.)

Default RE: Right click differrent

Welcome to AUGI!

As far as I can tell, this is a "glitch" that came with AutoCAD Electrical 2007. Not sure when or how it came about. We all experience this and just deal or cope. Another issue we have come across is that when you select "edit component" from that right mouse click, it will show the other right mouse click shortcut menu. The system seems to be waiting for something. We have to click in a blank spot outside the menu for the system to continue. Not really sure why these exist. They, autodesk, is aware of these issues.

As to seeing this issue addressed? I have noticed that most users tend to search out the discussion forum from Autodesk's website. They have direct contact with those that designed the system. Here is the link, if you would like to check it out.

Found one link that talked about this...

I have upgraded to AutoCAD Electrical 2008 and never had a problem until yesterday. Has anything been done to fix it? It is like losing an old friend.

Thumbs up RE: ACE 2006 - Right click no longer pops up different menu

Good News, I found it again.
I went ti Tools>Options>and under the File tab, select Customization files, then Main Customization files. Change the file to some other .cui file. Then apply it. After it changes to the new file setup, go back and change it back to the .cui file you want or were using before and in my case , I was able to get my shortcut menu when I right click.
Hope this helps.

I have had the same problems running ACE '06, '07 and '08. I just got '09, so we'll see. I just went to Tools>Options>User Preferences>Right Click Options and set it back to how I like it. I also noticed that my user profile changed every now and then and I believe this may have prompted the change to the right click function, but I'm not sure about that.
