Default Couple of Problems

Hello,

We have a couple of guys in our department with AutoCAD Electrical 2008 installed and they are having some problems...

1) One guy can not get the project manager window to disappear. Everytime he hits escape, clicks a line, etc. the project manager window will reappear.

2) One guy can not get dialog boxes to pop up. His FILEDIA variable is set to 1, so that is not the problem.

What about CMDDIA? for the second guy?

I'm also gonna move this to the Electrical forum.

Actually, for the second guy, i just got it to start working... I have no idea how.... I tried to set CMDDIA a little earlier and it did not recognize that variable...

So I guess the main problem is with the first guy now. Thanks.

Hi,

Did you check to see if the tool pallet was locked? Located in lower right corner. see picture.
Are other windows reappear, for example if you open the properties window?

Or does it happen when he right clicks, then it would be a menu issue.

The tool pallet should not be locked, because he is able to drag and move the project manager around the screen. No other windows are appearing when this happens. I do not think this happens when he right clicks... its usually when he clicks a line or hits the escape key.

Default RE: Couple of Problems

Sorry to say, yet my favorite saying is that it must be a glitch.

Not having 2008 yet, my suggestion would be to leave it on and use the following property settings: Allow Anchor, Anchor Left, Auto-Hide. That way it is out of the way, but not always reappearing.

Let us know if you find a solution. Sorry for not being able to find one.
