Just encountered a situation in the office where one of the users had accidentally used the Hide in View -> Elements on a view on a sheet. The view remained on the sheet, but could not be selected. Like turning off a viewport layer in AutoCAD. This sent us round the bend for a few minutes, thinking it was a bug. Just something to watch out for.

I hereby dub this method as the Super View Pin method .

I could see how this could be used for good, but unfortunately it hides the Viewport Title "Not Good"
In which case I am not sure there is a good use for the Super Viewport Pin.

I figured that you had solved your problem, I just wanted to post the fix for others..
Thanks for finding that, it probably saved me time down the road when one of our drafters would do the same.

We use this in our office for demolition plan room tags.
Since demo plans are set in phase new construction they have the new construction rooms when really we want to show the existing rooms. To get around this we duplicate the existing floor plan and turn everything off except rooms and room tags. Then we place this on the same sheet as the demo plan and align them so that the room tags line up in the right spots. Then we pin this room tag plan and hide it. This turns makes the view non-selectable but you can still see the tags. Then we can go about editing the demo plan and not have to worry about accidentally selecting the room tag plan.

This is a workaround but for now and until rooms get a phase demolished so we can see them in the demo plans with the proper filtering its the best we got.
