Grids With Smart Intersections

Wouldn't it be nice to have a grid that would know where the columns are? If place a Col at location Grid A-1, it would be nice to have a object that would know that. Think of all the things you could do with a smart grid object. Also, why do we still have to draw vertical grid lines? In reality, you column grid should be a 3 dimensional grid. If I look at an elevation, it sure would be nice to know what line I'm looking at.

I like this one...sure would remove the extra step in annotating elevations and sections.
