trim and extend

Is there a setting for trimming or extending to all component of objects? When i try to trim or extend to a wall it always goes to the base line. Do I have something set wrong?

I do not believe you are doing anything wrong, that is the way it works (with walls, anyway).

I agree with David, but if anyone else can prove us wrong let us know!! That's been bugging me too.

Select desired object to trim.
Right click and choose AEC Modify Tools.
Choose extend and hover over desired point to extend to. You will get a line ghosting showing you where/which line it will extend to.

Is there anything that Steve doesn't know????
I guess it's sorta like the "add trim plane" command with structural members. Why didn't I think to look in AEC modify tools?!
