Revit Wishes appears to be going the right way
Default Multi-Monitor friendly interface

Summary: The ability to spread Revit screen elements across two monitors.

Description: The user interface needs to be more flexible for people working on multiple monitors.

How Used: As of now the only part of the interface that can be seperated from the main window and dragged onto another monitor is the Project Browser. All or most of the open windows and toolbars should be able to be moved independently like you can in autocad.

Feature Affinity: Other

idorion is infamous around these parts
Default Re: Multi-Monitor friendly interface

This is a must. I stopped using dual screen because I was tired of doing a window tile and getting views placed 1/2 on each screen.

Ideal solution:

Split the workspace into configurable viewports, like 3dsmax.
Double-clicking a view in the browser opens it in the last active viewport
Drop-down list or row of tabs at top of viewport shows most recent views
Bars between viewports are draggable and snap to monitor boundaries (if possible)

And the moved windows like the Project Browser should remain in their moved position when re-opening Revit or opening another file, instead of resetting to the original docked position.

Well I don't know about other video cards, but my nVIDIA nView options has a checkbox under the Windows tab that says "Enable child window spanning across multiple displays". If I uncheck this, and have Revit maximized across 2 displays, and then hit the Maximize button on a view window, that view will fill only 1 display automatically.

Now this doesn't affect the Tile function, and yeah it would be nice if Tile would tile views on a single display only.
