Question AE2008 or AE2009

I have a new computer system that I am setting up, as we are on the subscription program, I can install ether AE2008 or AE2009. My current computer has AE2006.

I know I saw information on the file format changes that have been made after AE2006 but have no idea where I saw the information. Are the file formats for AE2008 & AE2009 compatible or not?

One of our customers supports AE2008 with some customized applications, but I would like to use some of the new features in AE2009 for our in house drawings. Big user interface changes where AE2007 to AE2008, I can take a chance on AE2009, but if those changes can between AE2008 & AE2009 I will hold off on AE2009.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Default Re: AE2008 or AE2009

The .dwg format changed at 2006.
2007, 2008, and 2009 share the same dwg format.
In other words... ACADE 08 and ACADE 09 have compatiable dwg formats.
