Summary: The ability to select all like objects by selecting an object with a particular attribute and executing the qselect command.
Description: I would like to be able to select all objects of a particular attribute (same layer, block with same names, etc.) by clicking on that object and executing the qselect command without having to navigate through the long qselect box. How Used: It would save time. Feature Affinity: Object Properties Manager Submitted By: DAVE FOX on August 14, 2008 |

I believe you are looking for the Filter command. It does all the things you are describing and has been in Acad for many versions. I do admit that it would be good if the Filter command had a bit of a facelift for some of the new element types but even in its current state our group finds it much easier and intuitive than QSelect. It would be great if AutoDesk would take the best of QSelect and Filter and make one unified command.
