What is the best way to add a slab thickening in a section under a block wall. I don't really need this in 3d, and I can add just dashed lines in the floor plan.
Please advise. Thanks a lot.
Regards Peter.
If you don’t req. it in 3D you can use the Edit Cut pofile tool in the section. Or you can use the Masking Region.
If you want it in 3D you can easily create a beam and change the beam profile to suit.

I personally would use an appropriate tool like Wall Foundation. Dont let the fact that its *3D* fool you in to thinking that means its harder or takes more time...
Yeah wall foundation is the way to go.
For some reason my mind was set on suspended slabs

Thanks I'll give wall foundation a try, and revert to 2d if it doesn't work out. It is a small project and need to get it out the door. I will spend the time later to find the best way to do it in 3d. Thanks for the tips.
Peter.

Design Bar > Structural Tab > Foundation > Wall Foundation > Click the Wall...

Aside from that, if it needs to have chamfered sides on it... Split the sketch of the floor there and you can use a Slab edge, under Host Sweep...
Or an In-Place sweep of the structural catagory. Hit Create > pick a catagory > Solid > sweep > click the wall for a path, and draw the thickened profile.
