How to zoom with scroll wheel in 2010

After installing 2010, I need to press the alt key while using the scroll wheel in order to zoom. If I don't press alt, the wheel works to pan up and down. I would much prefer to zoom one handed. I have looked through my mouse control panel settings, but I can't figure out how to the scroll wheel behavior back to how it worked in 2009. Can any one help me.

I'm not sure of the brand of mouse that you have, but I needed to set my Logitech mouse to the Other setting and then select Middle Button.

I figured it out. Under the wheel tab of the control panel I need to go to advanced-->disable intellipoint wheel support for the following programs.
