I took some of ChrisN's ideas and made them work for my purposes. Let me know if you find any bugs or anything, or if you have any other ideas please feel free to expand on them and send them back!

The thing that took me a little while to grasp was creating the Microwave Upper on the 2 door upper cabinet. I think it worked out pretty well.

Thanks guys! lots of help on here!

This looks like a great way to create casework elevations. I guess we are all looking for a "better way"

I have been working on creating cabints from curtain wall styles. I am learning about curtain wall's as I do it and have a number of questions still but here is a PDF showing some of the cabinets I have created (and a perspective view of them).

Doing it this way I can add the cabinets in plan view and then generate elevations and 3D models from them.

yeah, those were a VERY early creation, and i keep threatening them that i'm going to update them, but never have the time... those wipeouts are a messy business....

gotcha, that explains the "curtain system" comment. i've done all DBs in the vanilla versions.

so... next question. are you able to share more than just awesome PICTURES of your DB work?

No DBs (dynamic blocks) here, just curtain walls!

I am finding that these curtain walls can be used for a lot more than what I thought they were originally designed for! Here's an image of some curtain walls I have created for siding, metal buildings, etc.

The beauty is, when rendering I don't have any maps, bumps, etc. so it makes it MUCH easier to change colors as needed.

Now, is there a way to attach a curtian wall style to a roof? I could make some cool roof styles, such as standing seam metal!
