Problem with 3D Autocad Family and sections

I am presently experiencing a problem that was working until I updated the content with new content in a 3D Autocad Family. Here is the scenario: Curtain wall manufacturer is sending us his 3D Autocad design file. We take his file and create an in place family within the project and import his 3D Autocad file into the inplace family. Save the inplace family and Voila! instant Custom Curtain wall a-la Frank Gehry! We then made elevation views and section views and all was great. Now the manufacturer is sending us updated files. We edit the inplace family, replace the 3D Autocad file with the new 3D Autocad file and save the family. We go the section view and the family will no longer cut in the section view.

What do I do next? I tried redoing the views and that doesn't work. I don't know what is wrong.
